Psalm 143:1-12

Chapter 143
A psalm. Of David. O LORD, hear my prayer; give ear to my supplications. In your faithfulness answer me; in your righteousness. 1 Do not enter into judgment with your servant, for no one living is righteous before you. 2 For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has crushed me to the ground. He has made me dwell in darkness like those dead for ages. 3 And my spirit wraps over me; within me my heart is appalled. 4 I remember the days of old. I meditate on all your works; I muse on the deeds of your hands. 5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all your deeds; I muse on the works of your hands. 6 I have spread out my hands to you—my spirit! Like parched earth to you. Selah. 7 Make me hear your steadfast love in the morning, for in you I have trusted. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I have lifted my soul. 8 Deliver me from my enemies, O LORD; to you I have taken refuge. 9 Teach me to do your will, for you are God; your good Spirit will guide me in level land. 10 For the sake of your name, LORD, teach me to do your favor, for you are God. Your good Spirit will guide me in the land of level ground. Bring my soul out of distress in your righteousness. 11 In your steadfast love you will destroy my enemies, and you will annihilate all the distressers of my soul, for I am your servant.
